Sustainable Agro-Pastoral and Land Management Promotion under the National Community Development Program Support Program (PNDP)
Project Summary
The project development objective is to reduce poverty and promote sustainable rural development in Cameroon by strengthening local governance and empowering communities in rural areas, including marginalized groups. The blended project activities will contribute to ensuring the productivity of the natural resource base and to preserving the country’s globally significant biodiversity. The project’s global environmental objective is to contribute to maintaining and restoring fragile agro-pastoral ecosystems, reducing soil erosion, stabilizing sediment storage and release in critical water bodies, increasing vegetative cover and carbon sequestration, and enhancing agro-biodiversity through the promotion of sustainable land management policies, practices, and investments.
