The project’s long-term goal is to create an enabling environment and capacity for sustainable land management as a contribution to greater ecosystem stability, enhanced food security and improved rural livelihoods. The project aims at mainstreaming SLM principles into national policies and frameworks by using one sector as a vehicle which is forestry andNational Reforestation Programme (NRP).
