National Communications Support Programme

The project will significantly enhance the capacity of participating non-Annex 1 Parties to prepare their initial national communications to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The activities of the project aim to improve the quality, comprehensiveness, and timeliness of the initial national communications from non-Annex 1 Parties to the Convention in accordance with guidance provided by the Second Conference of Parties through the operation of a "Help" desk for climate change enabling activities, provision of additional technical assistance to countries preparing national communications and through the organization of a number of thematic and regional exchange workshops.
