Enabling Yemen to Prepare its First National Communication in Response to its Commitments to UNFCCC

The project, together with the project funded by the Government of the Netherlands under the Netherlands Climate Change Assistance Programme (NCCSAP), will enable the Government of Yemen to prepare its first national communication in accordance with Article 12 of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The NCCSAP will provide funding for the vulnerability assessment and adaptation analysis on the agricultural and water resource sectors to cover the costs of the project management unit and for the preparation of the actual communication. GEF funding will be provided for the GHG inventory, GHG abatement analysis, vulnerability assessment and adaptation analysis on the coastal zone.
