Enabling activities for the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs): National Implementation Plan for Paraguay
Project Summary
Within the overall objective of the Stockholm Convention, which is to protect human health and the environment from POPs, the project will: i. Allow the Republic of Paraguay to prepare the ground for the implementation of the Convention in Paraguay,ii. Assist Paraguay to fulfill the obligations for national reporting and other provisions under the Convention;iii. Strengthen the national capacity of Paraguay to manage POPs and chemicals generally in an environmentally sound manner.
