Enabling Activities to Facilitate Early Action on the Implementation of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs)

Project Summary

The objective of this Enabling Activities proposal is to build and strengthen national capacity and to enhance knowledge and understanding amongst decision makers, industrialists, NGOs and the general population on POPs.This will lead to the preparation of a National Implementation Plan (NIP) for the Stockholm Convention on POPs, and endorsement by all stakeholders in Djibouti. By achieving this objective, Djibouti will be in a position to manage the elimination of POPs and fulfil its reporting and other obligations under the Stockholm Convention.
