Adaptation to Climate Change through Effective Water Governance
Project Summary
The project objective is to reduce Ecuador’s vulnerability to climate change through increased adaptive capacity for the effective water resources management in a changing climate and improved access to timely and accurate climate data. The project will facilitate the implementation of efficient water management practices to withstand the effects of climate change through: sound water governance arrangements; decentralization of climate-resilient water management; information management and dissemination, and flexible financial mechanisms to promote local innovation in sustainable water management.
